The Ask The W connector
Context driven development with Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
Context driven development means a coding agent works from the project's context, not only its code. With Ask The W, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor can read one project context pack when a session starts. It holds the project's goal, decisions, open work, and current files, so the agent starts from what the team already decided.
How the connector works
Each session starts with the project's context.
You connect the coding agent once.
Claude Code and Codex install from their plugin marketplaces. Cursor adds the Ask The W connector in Customize and signs in. You sign in and choose the project.
The agent reads the project context pack.
At the start of a session, the agent reads one compact pack with the project's goal, outcomes, decisions, moves, and current files. Nobody explains the project again.
The agent can record what it learns.
When a person asks, the agent records a decision or adds context to the project, so the next session starts from it.
Finished work comes back to the plan.
A coding agent picks up only the work a person has approved. Its pull request and checks come back to the plan, and work that does not pass every check waits for the team to accept or decline it.

Questions about context driven development
- What is context-driven development?
- Context-driven development is a way of working where a coding agent gets the project's decisions, goals, and documents before it writes code. Ask The W serves this as one project context pack that the agent reads at the start of a session.
- How does Claude Code get my project's context?
- Install the Ask The W plugin for Claude Code, sign in through the browser, and choose a project. Claude Code then reads the project context pack through the Ask The W connector.
- Does it work with Codex and Cursor?
- It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors. Codex installs the Ask The W plugin, and Cursor adds the connector in Customize, under MCP.
- What is in the project context pack?
- The pack holds the project's goal, its why, what, and who, its outcomes, its kept decisions, its open moves, its current files, and its recent sources. It is short enough for an agent to read at the start of every session.
- How much does it cost?
- A connected agent's live read of one project is included in the seat. Ask The W is $20 a person each month. You pay for the work your agents deliver, at one listed price per job. Viewers stay free.
