PRD template written from your project

Workspace by Ask The W writes a PRD from what your project already knows: the problem on its W Card, the North Star it is measured against, and the decisions your team kept. The kit splits the work into separate files, from the requirements themselves to the questions that still need an answer before anyone builds.

$3.75 a kit · $0.75 a file

The default outline, in the order the kit writes it

  1. PRDprd.md

What we are building, for whom, and the assumptions behind it.

  2. Goals and non-goalsgoals-and-non-goals.md

What this product is aiming at, and what it is not.

  3. User storiesuser-stories.md

The jobs the product has to do, written from the user's side.

  4. Success metricssuccess-metrics.md

How we will know this product is working.

  5. Open questionsopen-questions.md

What still has to be answered before the product can ship.

The project context behind every file

  • The decision to build, when your team has made one.
  • The project's W Card: its title and the answers that describe the idea.
  • The North Star the project is measured against.
  • The decisions your team kept, with their reasons.
  • Files already in Workspace, so each kit cites them instead of repeating them.
  • Project settings, such as the stack and the surfaces, when the project has them.
  • Answers to open questions your team already gave.
  • The assumptions linked to the kit, and when it starts from a next move, that move and its notes.

One listed price for each file

$3.75 for the kit, which is $0.75 for each file it writes. Each file is one listed job, so writing one file again costs $0.75.

Questions about the Product requirements (PRD) kit

How is the PRD file different from the rest of the kit?
The PRD file says what is being built, for whom, and the assumptions behind it. The other files hold the goals and non-goals, the user stories, the success metrics, and the open questions, so each one can be read and changed on its own.
What happens when the project has not decided something yet?
The kit does not fill the gap with a guess. It writes the missing piece as an open question, so the PRD shows what is known and what is not.
Is the Product requirements (PRD) kit a blank template?
No. Workspace by Ask The W writes each file from your project's own context and cites the project files behind each claim. Anything your project has not decided stays an open question in the file.
How much does the Product requirements (PRD) kit cost?
$3.75 for the kit, which is $0.75 for each file it writes. Each file is one listed job, so writing one file again costs $0.75.
Can I change the files or the headings the kit writes?
Yes. Each kit has a recipe in Workspace. You can rename a file, add a file, change the headings a file follows, and save the recipe for the next run.
