Test strategy template written from your project
Workspace by Ask The W writes a test strategy from your PRD. When the project has a PRD with acceptance criteria, the edge-case matrix is drawn from them, so the tests follow what the product promised to do.

01What it writes
The default outline, in the order the kit writes it
- Test plan
test-plan.mdWhat will be tested, and at which layer.
- Coverage targets
coverage-targets.mdCoverage the team is aiming at, by layer.
- Edge-case matrix
edge-case-matrix.mdEdge cases drawn from the PRD's acceptance criteria.
- Test data notes
test-data-notes.mdThe data tests need, and what must not be invented.
- Regression checklist
regression-checklist.mdWhat must still pass after this change.
02What it reads
The project context behind every file
- The PRD and its acceptance criteria, when the project has them.
- The project's W Card: its title and the answers that describe the idea.
- The North Star the project is measured against.
- The decisions your team kept, with their reasons.
- Files already in Workspace, so each kit cites them instead of repeating them.
- Project settings, such as the stack and the surfaces, when the project has them.
- Answers to open questions your team already gave.
- The assumptions linked to the kit, and when it starts from a next move, that move and its notes.
03Price
One listed price for each file
$3.75 for the kit, which is $0.75 for each file it writes. Each file is one listed job, so writing one file again costs $0.75.
04Questions
Questions about the Test strategy kit
- How is this different from the Acceptance cases kit?
- Acceptance cases is one file for one feature: the happy path, the ways it breaks, and what done means. The test strategy covers the whole plan: what is tested at which layer, coverage targets, edge cases, test data, and the regression checklist.
- Will it invent coverage numbers?
- No. The kit never invents coverage numbers, dates, or people. A target that the record does not support stays an open question.
- Is the Test strategy kit a blank template?
- No. Workspace by Ask The W writes each file from your project's own context and cites the project files behind each claim. Anything your project has not decided stays an open question in the file.
- How much does the Test strategy kit cost?
- $3.75 for the kit, which is $0.75 for each file it writes. Each file is one listed job, so writing one file again costs $0.75.
- Can I change the files or the headings the kit writes?
- Yes. Each kit has a recipe in Workspace. You can rename a file, add a file, change the headings a file follows, and save the recipe for the next run.
