Working preview

The working preview builds a web version of your project from its current files in Workspace by Ask The W. When it is on for your project, Working preview appears in the top bar of every product.

You can also select Build a working preview in Wizard by Ask The W before you choose Build the Plan.

Start it

Choose Start the working preview. The button shows only when there is work to start or retry. It is hidden when you cannot edit the project, when the project has no files yet, while a build is running, or when a coding agent is connected.

If the project has no files yet, the page says "Working preview is on. It starts once this project has files to build from."

When it is ready

The page shows the preview link. Choose Copy link to copy it, or Open in new tab to open it.

If you can edit the project, choose Share to make a public link, or Stop sharing to turn it off. Feedback from people who use the shared link appears under Feedback on this preview. You can also tell us whether it worked: Yes, Not yet, or No.

If it does not finish

The page says "The working preview did not finish this work." or gives the reason, such as a build that took too long or a project file that looks like it contains a secret. Choose Start the working preview to try again.

If files are held for review, the page shows Needs review and the file names.

When a coding agent is connected, the working preview is no longer updated.

Coding agent moves

Coding agent moves lists the moves for the coding agent. To add a move for the coding agent, open Next moves in Way by Ask The W and choose Add move.
